A hearty, delicious, yet simple soup recipe made with slow-cooked bones, meat, pig feet, beans, and garden greens. One of my favorite Filipino dishes.

I think this is a recipe that many of my fellow Filipino soup lovers (especially Ilocanas) will love. Slow cooked bones and meat with beans and fresh garden veggies--what more can you ask for?
Slow Cooker Bones and Vegetable Soup
INGREDIENTS:
1.5 lb pork, beef, or venison bones
1 lb pork, beef, or venison (cubed)
1 lb pig feet (cut into 2-3 inch segments)
water
2 x 15oz canned beans (such as "Kardis", pinto, black beans, etc.)
fish sauce or fish paste (to taste)
salt (to taste)
1/2 tsp whole peppercorns
1 medium onion (cubed)
2 cups cabbage (cubed)
2 cups bok choy, spinach, chard, kale, or any garden greens
INSTRUCTIONS:
Place the bones and pig's feet in slow cooker.
Add water. Water level should be 2 inches above the bones. Let simmer and cook until the pig's feet are soft--about 3 hours on high.
Add meat, beans, fish sauce/paste, salt, peppercorns, and onion. Simmer for another 1.5 hour.
Add the rest of the ingredients and cook for 30 more minutes.
Kainan na! Serve hot soup over hot rice.
Enjoy!
